Insider Pages Reviews Great Lunch! peggy c. Just for something to do on a Sunday we drove to Cumberland. After strolling thru centre town we saw the "Crabby Pig" sign and followed it to one of the most pleasant luncheons. Food was great and the portions were more than enough for one person. waitress was pleasant and really enjoyed "Velvet Jones" Will I be back...u betcha. loved it! The Crabby Pig has the best steamed blue crabs in Western Maryland George L. After living in Baltimore, and having family in the Baltimore area, I have never been able to find good steamed crabs in Western Maryland. My search is over! The Crabby Pig has some of the best steamed blue crabs I have had anywhere. The first dozen I bought to take home, I thought they made a mistake and gave me a dozen and a half, the crabs were that heavy. Cooked to perfection and seasoned just right.I have also had the pulled pork, and ribs. . .two other great selections from their menu Crabby Pig is one of the best places to eat in Cumberland shannan j. I've eaten at crabby pigs many times i love it they have the best food ever. Its every clean and the wait staff are friendly. They have the best crabs and steak.

Jan 7, 2011 I visited the Crabby Pig based on a recomendation from a local that I needed to try their ribs. The location of the restaurant is right off the canal and would be a great location for summer patio dinning. It is a small restaurant with a locals feel and a bbq-joint type of atmosphere. I ordered the ribs and seafood dinner with shrimp. The ribs were great, fall off the bone and very tender. The sauce was good but ordinary. The shrimp were large and had good flavor. The cornbread side was excellent, a great flavor and very moist. The service was average. Both servers were very polite and helpful. Overall the food was good and the service acceptable.

Nov 10, 2010 I was recently traveling through Cumberland on Business. I was staying at the Fairfield, and had asked the front desk about local restaurants. They directed me to the Crabby Pig. I am glad they did so. The service was fast and very friendly. I eat out alone several times a week, but I didn't feel so alone there because the server was very friendly and new a lot about the area. I ordered chicken chesapeake which was delicious, not what I'm typically used to when I order that dish, but still it had its own flare! I also had a house cocktail that was good for the price I paid. Paid much more for much worse. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone traveling through cumberland who loves seafood. Excellent Seafood tlc141 Wheeling, West Virginia Mar 26, 2009 We recently went to the Crabby Pig. I ordered cream of crab soup and a fried seafood platter with fish, scallops, and shrimp, and a crabcake. The soup was fantastic. The platter was good as well, with the crabcake and scallops being excellent. The waitress was helpful and friendly. There was no long wait, and my bill was about $20 (with a drink). I will definetly keep this place in mind next time I am nearby. Good seafood in the mountains anhunt617
Baltimore, Maryland Aug 21, 2010 I was surprised that this place first had good seafood and second that they had hush puppies (which were awesome). We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the sun going down. Our waitress was very friendly and accomodating. The only thing I found odd was that it's just about under the highway but you really don't notice it and you could hardly hear anything. We will definately come back here on our next trip to Cumberland. City Search Reviews Pleasant Surprise by aaronj71 at Citysearch Happened upon the Crabby Pig driving back home after family vacation in DC area. Wanted a place within walking distance of my hotel, where I could get a beer and something more substantial than fast food and the desk clerk recommended the Crabby Pig. Not much to look at, but we weren't looking for fine dining. Full bar--wife got a nicely proportioned margarita that was tasty, and a menu with a mix of barbecue, salads, sandwiches, and seafood, including soft shell crab. Sat outside. The atmosphere was fun and casual. Only drawback is that on one side you are under the shadow of the highway overpass. Noise was not bad, though. Started with crab dip. My wife and I liked it a lot. Kids, not so much (more for us). Wife got ribs, I got the soft-shell crab platter, and my daughters split a sirloin. Meals were all tasty. Tried wife's ribs and have to say they were excellent. Crab was very good, too. Daughters enjoyed sirloin. Sides were all cooked well and nicely seasoned. A little pricey for a casual family meal, but overall a fun place to go on vacation. Would definitely return and sit outside in an evening--especially with a group of adult friends wanting relaxation, good food, and drinks. It's all good by CSMobileUser at Citysearch You can't beat the beat the place. It's like being at the ocean, but your in the mountons. It's great!
